Texture on the wall at Gangtey Gonpa, Bhutan

There is this imposing wall to the right on way to Gangtey Gonpa in Phobjikha Valley in Bhutan. The wall is obviously quite old. Time and weather seemed to have played magic and created a wonderful textural effect.

The range of emotions these textures aroused were as varied as the patterns created - beauty, awe, complexity, mystery, melancholy, seeking answers and what not...It was a great experience to shoot these. The light was fading fast so there was not much time available.

Changing colours of the leaves from the morning walk

Pictures from the morning walk today As the winter recedes, one can see several changes around. The leaves start changing their colours and ultimately they take a bow. There is this tree near our place which throws up spectacular transition of colours around this time each year. Happened to pick up some nice pictures today morning. (shot on Fujifilm X100V)

Weaving at National Institute of Zorig Chusum, Thimphu Visit to National Institute of Zorig Chusum (Institute of thirteen arts and crafts) at Thimphu was quite an experience. Bhutan is clearly proud of its culture and heritage and makes sure that it is not only protected but there is honour and dignity associated with it.
