Setting sun at Shoja, Himachal

Setting sun at Shoja, Himachal This moment was an unexpected gift from the sun, the clouds, the mountains and the GOD. What more can I say. This was the same evening when I was walking towards village Shoja and this play of light was unfolding right in front of me. I spent as minimum time as I could in handling the camera as I would have missed those precious moments of looking at this divine phenomenon and experience it with all my senses. (Shoja, Himachal, 2014)

Fathoming the Sky and beyond

Fathoming the Sky and beyond Many years ago, I went to Delhi from Mumbai on the 6 am flight of East West Airlines. There were only 12 passengers in that Boeing 737 I suppose. That day I realised what an experience it is to see the rising sun through the clouds. The colours start changing gradually and each moment is lived differently. The best part is that none of the colours are loud. They are all subtle, deep and meaningful. Beckon you to explore. In perfect solitude.

Ready to kiss the Earth

Ready to kiss the Earth The monsoon clouds have descended and are getting ready to kiss the earth.  They have come from far away. Their moment has arrived. Will they pour ? The hot dry earth will absorb everything they shower. Erupt in joy and fragrance. Wait each year for this moment.

Twilight at a beach in Kokan, Western India

Twilight at a beach in Kokan Apart from the usual good seasons to go, we have been driving into Kokan  region just before the monsoon arrives. The good thing this does is that you see lots of clouds pass by, great colours in the sky and surely some rains at least on the return trip. Experienced this fantastic play of colours at a beach near Guhagar . Within a span of just over an hour and a half, the creator or whoever gave us a glimpse of what he is capable of. Unleashed an array of colours, a riot almost but this one was supremely divine, soothing and introspective. I did not feel like getting into the water as this might have disturbed the beautiful series of paintings that were being flipped in front of us.
