Colourful bylane

Cycling on Mandalay Line Mandalay line in Range Hills at Khadki is one of my favourite areas for cycling. It is quiet with little traffic. It passes via what used to be the Bomb Disposal Squad campus. Their unit shifted sometime ago. Last week when I was cycling on this stretch, noticed this bylane with brilliant colours of Bougainvillea and Gulmohar . The presence of a red car and a black dog who kind of posed for this picture, added the drama. (Pune, June 2022)

The Bougainvillea Collection - 3

The Bougainvillea Collection - 3 While shooting the  Bougainvillea , I realised that while it looked bright and vibrant, one would make a mistake to miss out some very subtle tones in it.  It is similar to the search for the subtle and unspoken beauty as opposed to loud assertion of beauty which we get bombarded with all the time.  (April 2016)

The Bougainvillea Collection - 1

The Bougainvillea Collection - 1  Although I usually do not enjoy shooting flowers, the bougainvillea at Indiaart Gallery has been so inviting that I could not resist picking up the camera. In this picture, the dried leaves of a fallen branch of the bamboo tree from the adjoining piece of land has created a wonderful backdrop for the colour and beauty of bougainvillea. (April 2016)
