Jodhpur - The Blue City

Jodhpur - The Blue City A view of  Jodhpur  from  Mehrangarh fort  tell you why it is known as the Blue City. The majestic fort which is one of the largest in India is situated on a small hill and overlooks the city. No doubt it is an imposing structure. I have always felt that while the residents of the fort must have felt very secure, the residents who lived below in the open must have felt very vulnerable as they would have to bear the brunt of the marauding armies. Folk musicians at Jodhpur

Folk musicians at Jodhpur Heard this folk musician couple performing at Mandore near Jodhpur .  The lady was singing and the fellow was playing a traditional folk string instrument . They were presenting their art with utmost sincerity. When we met them, their son was recovering from a monkey bite in the gardens at Mandore.
