Group photo at Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa Nobody will miss a selfie or a picture at Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa which is a UNESCO World Heritage site . The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier . ( Old Goa, 2016 )

Canvassing at Panjim Market The market at Panjim is no different from most vegetable markets except for the wonderful mural by Mario Miranda at the upper level which overlooks all the action below. Noticed this AAP volunteer who with the signature AAP cap was quietly but diligently talking to people (possibly about the new world). It is good to see that some people still believe in Utopia . ( Goa , 2016)

Selfie at Fort Aguada, Goa One definite change I witnessed during the recent visit to Goa was that everyone was taking selfies. Never saw anything like that in all the trips to Goa over so many years.  May be that selfies has now become a national trait. It is nice to see so many people feeling good about themselves. Our collective self esteem seems to have gone up considerably. We are definitely progressing.

White Door and Yellow Wall, Fontainhas, Goa What a beauty this was. If I were to live here, I would probably spend more time looking at it from outside. Wonderful entrance to this house in the pretty quarter of Fontainhas , Goa. Although it was a hot summer afternoon, the sheer beauty of some of the structures made walking the lanes quite an involved exercise. (2014) 

Engrossed Came across this fellow at a restaurant in Panjim , Goa where we had been try out Portuguese cuisine . Had also learnt that this place offers good quality home made feni . This fellow had all the time in the world and seemed to be smoking rolled cigarettes.

Chatting around at Sao Jacinto Island, Goa Di scovered this charming little island while driving around in Goa with pretty houses from an old world era. Spotted this group of people enjoying the cool evening breeze and chatting around.

Blue at Goa Spotted this blue wall while walking in the streets of Goa . The signage of the jeweller in thick golden letters on a dark blue background and the dark brown door made this a compelling visual for me.

Door at Goa Noticed this unique name plate on a house door while walking around in Goa . The light and shadow on the closed door created a visual which had to be captured.

Goan house Noticed this pretty house somewhere on the outskirts of Goa while driving. It was so charming that I had to stop by and take pictures. Climbed the steps to check in from close quarters but the closer view was not all that charming. Despite that, the impression of this house remains etched in my mind.
