Cycle Ride at Thimphu

Managed to arrange bicycles for a ride from a hill near Takin reserve down to the Indian consulate and further to the main market area in Thimphu. Except for the last leg which was uphill, it was a nice ride downhill in the crisp early evening air at Thimphu with some nice views of Thimphu outskirts thrown in.

Colourful bylane

Cycling on Mandalay Line Mandalay line in Range Hills at Khadki is one of my favourite areas for cycling. It is quiet with little traffic. It passes via what used to be the Bomb Disposal Squad campus. Their unit shifted sometime ago. Last week when I was cycling on this stretch, noticed this bylane with brilliant colours of Bougainvillea and Gulmohar . The presence of a red car and a black dog who kind of posed for this picture, added the drama. (Pune, June 2022)

Fathoming the Sky and beyond Many years ago, I went to Delhi from Mumbai on the 6 am flight of East West Airlines. There were only 12 passengers in that Boeing 737 I suppose. That day I realised what an experience it is to see the rising sun through the clouds. The colours start changing gradually and each moment is lived differently. The best part is that none of the colours are loud. They are all subtle, deep and meaningful. Beckon you to explore. In perfect solitude.
