Light through the forest cover at Kanha

The feeling of mysterious tranquility can only be experienced in a forest. Few days at Kanha allowed us to soak ourselves in that feeling. The light through thick cover of trees is an eternally enchanting sight. Looking at the trees make you realise that they have been around for a long long time before you appeared on this planet and will continue to be around for a long time after you are gone. Just like the mountains, these trees have the quality of giving you that reality check which many of us need so often.

Texture on the wall at Gangtey Gonpa, Bhutan

Texture on the wall at Gangtey Gonpa, Bhutan There is this imposing wall to the right on way to Gangtey Gonpa in Phobjikha Valley in Bhutan .  The wall is obviously quite old.  Time and weather seemed to have played magic and created a wonderful textural effect.  The range of emotions these textures aroused were as varied as the patterns created - beauty, awe, complexity, mystery, melancholy, seeking answers and what not...It was a great experience to shoot these. The light was fading fast so there was not much time available.

Colourful bylane

Cycling on Mandalay Line Mandalay line in Range Hills at Khadki is one of my favourite areas for cycling. It is quiet with little traffic. It passes via what used to be the Bomb Disposal Squad campus. Their unit shifted sometime ago. Last week when I was cycling on this stretch, noticed this bylane with brilliant colours of Bougainvillea and Gulmohar . The presence of a red car and a black dog who kind of posed for this picture, added the drama. (Pune, June 2022)
